Her best friend Kasia was the one everyone expected to go to the tower for the next ten years. But everyone was wrong. An adventure out of a fairy tale awaited Agnieszka. And like all fairy tales, there were monsters waiting. This is an amazing story. Very highly recommended.

Golden Prey - John Sandford

Golden Prey is the 27th novel in Sanford's Prey series. Read them. Don't be one of the 33% of Americans who never read another book after they graduate from high school, or the 42% who never read another book after they graduate from college. It's like the best action adventure movie ever made, but it's in your mind.

Lucas Davenport is now a U.S. Marshal. His first case has all the elements you'd expect from Lucas, including almost getting killed. Some of the bad guys are brought to justice, Davenport style, and some get away. You can't win them all, but reading this book is a huge win. Very very highly recommended.

The Goblin Emperor - Katherine Addison

The Goblin Emperor is a stand-alone fantasy novel. That's actually too bad, because this is one fantasy I'd like to read more of.

Maia Drazhar was the only son of the fourth wife of emperor Varenechibel the Fourth, and the emperor's fourth son. Maia's mother was Chenelo Drazharan, the daughter of the Great Avar of Barizhan, the ruler of the goblin nation. That means that Maia was part goblin and part elf. That also means that Maia was essentially banished from court right after his mother died.

That all changed when the emperor Varenechibel, and his other three sons were all killed in an airship crash. Now the Untheileneise Court has a Goblin Emperor. This will take some adjusting from Untheileneise and from Maia, and lots of court intrigue and adventures along the way. This is a great story. Very highly recommended.

What Sam doesn't know is that this is the start of a long and dangerous fight for her life and Brock's. Someone in Homeland, the CIA, and even the Metro Police is gunning for her. She is going to have to get them first. Very highly recommended.

Finders/Keepers is the third novel in the Allie Krycek Thriller series This book is available through kindleunlimited.

Allie is using her formidable skills to search for Faith. Lucy has become her partner, along with Apollo of course. Faith was kidnapped and forced to work the sex trade. Allie is getting close, but the trail leads through some rough spots. Staying alive is just as important as finding Faith, and almost harder to do. Very highly recommended.

Saint/Sinner - Sam Sisavath

It's been two years since Allie found her sister's killer, and took care of him. It took her 10 years, but that chapter in her life is over. Allie has moved on and is getting her life together. At least she thought so. Then Allie, her boyfriend, and her boyfriend's daughter are kidnapped. The kidnappers think Allie is just a secretary, but Allie has skills. And she remembers how to use them. Very highly recommended.

The Operator - Kim Harrison

The Operator is the second novel in the Peri Reed Chronicles series.

Peri Reed is on her own. She runs a coffee shop now. Opti is gone, but remnants remain in the shadows. They now have a drug they claim will let drafters remember. But it comes at a price. One Peri is not sure she's willing to pay. Very highly recommended.

A Criminal Defense - William L. Myers Jr.

A Criminal Defense is a novel about murder. About defending someone from murder. But who?

Mick McFarland is a brilliant lawyer. How brilliant is about to be tested by an old friend who hires him. David Hanson is accused of killing his lover. There are twists and turns in the case that I never saw coming. And a personal journey for Mick that could be more than he can take. You will be surprised. Very highly recommended.

Sideswiped - Kim Harrison

Sideswiped is a kindle single out of the Peri Reed Chronicles series.

This is the prequel to the Peri Reed Chronicles. If you want to know how Peri thinks and why she acts, it's good to start from the beginning. Very highly recommended.

Waylaid - Kim Harrison

Waylaid is a kindle single. This novella is where the magical world of Rachel Morgan, and the time traveling world of Peri Reed collide. Excellent.

Peri Reed is tired of letting her roommate choose the entertainment. Jack is all about the magical and supernatural. Peri likes reality. Then Peri accidentally calls a demon. Rachel Morgan is the demon she gets, and Jenks tags along for the ride. That's when the fun begins. Very highly recommended.

The Drafter - Kim Harrison

The Drafter is the first novel in the Peri Reed Chronicles series.

It's the future and Peri Reed is a drafter. She's one of a rare few who can manipulate time. The problem is drafters tend to lose their minds trying to keep parallel memories straight. That's why Peri has an anchor named Jack. Anchors have the ability to get into the minds of drafters and remove those extra timelines. But something is wrong. Peri can't put her finger on it, but she has that problem with lots of memories. It seems that Jack and she may be corrupt, but Peri is sure she's not a bad agent. The journey to finding herself is long, hard, and full of action. Peri's first rule is she never kills anyone who hasn't killed her first. A great new series is born. Very highly recommended.

Silence Fallen - Patricia Briggs

Silence Fallen is book number ten in the Mercy Thompson series.

Now that Adam and Mercy are presiding over a tenuous peace of sorts in their territory they've become a target. Mercy is kidnapped by the most powerful vampire in Europe, maybe the world. Mercy manages to escape, but getting away safely will require the help of all the friends and enemies she can count on. Even some ghosts. Very highly recommended.

The Turn - Kim Harrison

The Turn is the prequel to the Hollows series.

The Hollows series explores the world, and specifically the Cincinnati area, after the silence was broken and all the supernaturals came out of the closet. If you ever wondered why that was, This is the book that tells the story. Very highly recommended.

The Witch with No Name - Kim Harrison

The Witch with No Name is the 13th and final book in the Hollows series. A series set right across the state line in Cincinnati. If you haven't been keeping up, you should start from the beginning. You won't regret it.

The situation with the elves, the demons, and the vampires is coming to a head. Rachel is doing her best to "fix" things, but it's getting out of hand. This book is suspenseful and exciting and sad all at the same time. Too bad this great series had to end. Very highly recommend.

Sam Jameson is an agent for Homeland Security. On Sam's last mission she died. Fortunately it wasn't permanent. Now Sam's been given a simple assignment. Another Homeland agent was killed in an accident in Budapest. Sam is being sent to pick up his effects and check on the case file. If only it were that simple. Pretty soon a trail of dead bodies is left behind Sam. If she's not very careful, she may die again. This is a great novel. Plenty of action and a good ending. Very highly recommended.

Fate of Perfection - K.F. Breene

Fate of Perfection is the first novel in the Finding Paradise series. This book is available through kindleunlimited.

Millicent Foster is way above the curve. Three clicks above the curve to be precise. Millicent is the best weapons and tech designer the Moxidone conglomerate has.

In the future, where most humans are born in the lab, Millicent is a natural born. That doesn't mean her parents weren't selected with great care, and she certainly wasn't conceived the old fashioned way, but she's a natural. Now Millicent has been selected as one of the few women allowed to bare her own child, but she won't get to keep it of course.

Motherhood can be tricky. Moxidone may have made a mistake taking someone of Millicent's abilities and turning them into a breeder. Maternal instincts can be deadly.

This is a great book. Very highly recommended.

It IS About Islam - Glenn Beck

It IS About Islam is the third book in the Control series.

Glenn Beck has presented a clear case that Islam is not a religion of peace. There will still be people who keep their heads buried in the sands of political correctness. Hopefully the rest of America can defeat Islam before their heads are chopped off. Glenn does tend to beat a dead horse, but the book is good and well referenced. Highly recommended.

No Good Deed - M.P. McDonald

No Good Deed is the first novel in the Mark Taylor Series. This book is available through kindleunlimited.

Mark Taylor was just a photographer. Then Mark found this old dusty camera in a bazaar in Afghanistan. The old camera would be Mark's blessing and his curse. It would take Mark a long time to realize the blessing though. This is a compelling story, but the ending is pretty bare bones. Happy, but abrupt. Highly recommended.

Weremage - Garrett Robinson

Weremage is the fifth novel in the Nightblade series. This book is available through kindleunlimited.

Loren is now officially the Nightblade. The High King has made it so. Her first mission is to find the traitor Damaris, and bring her to the King's justice. This is not a trivial task. And finding her doesn't mean Loren and her band can keep her. Especially when there's a traitor in their midst. Very highly recommended. The bad news is the next book in the series is not published yet.

Shadeborn - Garrett Robinson

Shadeborn is the 4th novel in the Nightblade series. This book is available through kindleunlimited.

With Jordel dead, Loren and her companions are now headed to Jordel's stronghold in Feldemar. The question is if they can survive to reach it. The Shades are hunting them everywhere. Even Loren and Chet's home in the Birchwood isn't safe now. Where Loren ends up is not where she expected. But is it where the Shades expected? Very highly recommended.
