Deathmaker is book two in the Dragon Blood series.

Lieutenant Caslin Ahn is part of the famous Wolf Squadron run by Colonel Zirkander. When Cas crashed into the ocean everyone thought she was dead. Instead, Cas turned up in the same prison cell as the infamous pirate Tolemek "Deathmaker" Targoson. Together they escape from the prison, but with Cas as Mek's prisoner. Cas plans to escape again and Mek plans to use Cas to find Zirkander. So much for plans. Very highly recommended.
