Freedom's Landing is the first novel in the Freedom series.

Kristin Bjornsen was captured from Denver in the first wave. The Catteni swept down on earth and took the inhabitants of 50 cites captive. Being a slave was not a goal Kris aspired to. She escaped and was recaptured. Now Kris and a mixed group of humans and aliens have been dropped on a new world. The group includes one Catteni who sides with them. The Catteni expect those dropped to colonize the planet so they can come back and take over. The Catteni misjudged humans and the new planet. Something the new colonists are doing their best to take advantage of. Very highly recommended.
